I am a graduate research assistant, Ph.D. student, and Presidential Scholar at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. My current research focuses on perceived cultural competencies of music teachers. Other research interests focus on the disproportionate cultural representation between the selected repertoire of beginning instrumental methods texts and the student bodies of urban, suburban, and rural populations.
